slow poke

I have a lot of projects finishing up these next few weeks, I wish I could show all of them off, but instead I have this turtle drawing. I have been working on some fun sketches, thinking about patterns and fabric, and jotting down lots of ideas for the future of Nisee Made. It is starting to hit me that the end of my pregnancy is here (34 weeks and 2 days) and I can't believe this little girl will be here within a matter of weeks! There is so much I want to do, but I'm going to force myself to be a slow poke these next couple of months and enjoy just being. I am looking forward to seeing what direction my illustration starts to take and I can't wait to share that with you!

  1. Sounds like you have a lot of things to look forward too! All the best with finishing off projects (your little baby is a project in itself!!) :)

  2. haha I like the turtle symbolizing the slowing down. If your girl turns out to be a good sleeper you will find that the first several months you have plenty of time. Little babies sleep most of the time. It is after the first year that it gets impossible to work.

My girl is jumping on my back all day long while I try to do something on the computer. I can not concentrate on anything. Thanks god she still sleeps 2hrs after lunch time when I can work. And also there are the night hours...
