porch weather

After a week of rainy cold weather we finally have porch weather here in Chicago. A couple Friday's ago my internet went out all day (almost drove me crazy) and I spent the whole time doodling in my sketchbook. I finally got around to taking some pictures of it today.

I'm slowly adding some goods to my shop. In the next few weeks I'm putting together a bunch of pre-designed Save The Dates that are pretty cute - there is one I wish I would have made for my wedding. For now, I'm offering custom illustrated maps for weddings and special events. Please stop by if you get a chance.

A few little sketches I did while vacationing in New Orleans last week. This city will always hold a special place in my heart. I got engaged here, vacationed, moved, lived, and discovered I don't like living 900 miles away from my friends and family. However, I think it's great idea to visit when spring has not quite been to the midwest yet. A week of 80 degree weather is always nice.

Had a pretty nice weekend. Best part 60 degree weather Sunday afternoon. I'm going to love this porch!

I have a huge fear of flying. Huge! I wish I was one of those folks that can get on a plane - no problem. But I'm not. What are your tricks for happy plane flying?

Flower Journal

It seems as though the only way to feel spring around here is to draw flowers. I started to keep a little flower journal and doodle flowers in it when I'm feeling uncreative.
